Workwear For Salons, Spas And Beauty Clinics: What To Put Your Team In

Tunics, tops and warm layers: what to wear, what it costs, and how to get your logo on it.

⏱ 48-Hour Turnaround 🧵 Logos Done In-House 🚚 + Postage & Packaging

In a salon, barbershop, nail bar or beauty clinic, clients notice how your team looks before you have said a word. A matching, branded uniform says you take the job seriously, and it doesn't have to be complicated: a tunic for treatments, a T-shirt or polo for quieter days, and a warm layer for cooler rooms.

Here's how we'd kit out a team, what it costs, and how to get your logo on it. Everything below is on our Health & Beauty page, where you can pick colours and see prices.

Tunics For Treatments And The Salon Floor

The tunic is the heart of most beauty uniforms, and we stock three styles in Aprons & Tunics. All three are a 185gsm, 100% polyester plain weave.

Ladies Tunic 1 (Mika) comes in black, in sizes XXS to 5XL. Ladies Tunic 2 (Orchid) comes in black, dark grey, hot pink, navy, purple, turquoise and white, in UK sizes 6 to 24. Ladies Tunic 3 (Blossom) has the same sizes, in black, dark grey, hot pink, navy, purple, strawberry red and white. If your salon has a brand colour, there's a good chance one of them matches it.

Tops, Sweatshirts And Warm Layers

Not everyone wears a tunic all day. For reception, barbers and nail technicians, a polo is a smart, easy option. Our workwear polo is a 220gsm cotton-polyester piqué in black, bottle green or navy, and a fitted polo comes in a wider range of colours, including fuchsia, purple and white. For a simple, affordable top, our 180gsm cotton T-shirt comes in 25 colours.

For cooler rooms and long days on your feet, there's a sweatshirt (with a ladies' fit too), and a micro fleece jacket for mobile therapists travelling between clients. A beanie finishes the look for outdoor appointments. One thing to know: fleeces are always embroidered, never vinyl or DTF.

Two Ready-Made Salon Kits

If you'd rather not pick item by item, our Health & Beauty page has two kits made from the same garments. Prices include your logo on the front of every item, and you choose colours and sizes when you order.

Salon Starter Kit: 3 tunics and 3 T-shirts for £105.07 (£94.56 with a trade account).

Mobile Therapist Kit: 2 tunics, 2 T-shirts and a fleece for £95.58 (£86.02 with a trade account).

Embroidered Or Printed?

For a small logo on the chest of a tunic, polo or fleece, embroidery gives a smart, lasting finish. Vinyl suits a bold name or slogan and keeps costs down on larger designs. Our guide to embroidery, vinyl or DTF explains the difference. Tunics are a thin polyester fabric, so send us your logo and we'll tell you which method suits it best. If you're not sure your logo file is ready, our post on getting your logo ready shows what we can use, and lets you preview your logo on a T-shirt for free.

Uniform Is Not A Substitute For Skin Care

A word for hairdressers in particular. The Health and Safety Executive says repeated contact with water and shampoo can inflame the skin and lead to dermatitis, and advises disposable non-latex gloves for shampooing, colouring and bleaching, with gloves changed between clients. Uniform doesn't replace that, but a spare set of kit per person means there's always a clean tunic to hand. Our washing and care guide will keep your logo looking sharp wash after wash.

Easy To Order, Easy To Reorder

There's no minimum order and no set-up fee, and we digitise your logo for free and keep it on file, so matching kit for a new starter is quick to arrange. Most jobs are ready in 48 hours. Volume discounts apply automatically (5% off from 10 items, 10% off from 25 and 15% off from 50), and a free trade account takes a further 10% off if you order regularly. You can see examples of our embroidery on our Our Work page.

Questions

What should salon and beauty therapy staff wear?

Most salons choose a tunic for treatments or the salon floor, with a T-shirt or polo for reception and quieter days, and a sweatshirt or fleece for cooler rooms. We can put your logo on all of it.

Can you embroider or print my logo on tunics?

Yes. We put your logo on tunics, polos, T-shirts, sweatshirts and fleeces, all done in-house. Send us your logo and we'll suggest embroidery or vinyl, whichever suits your design and the fabric best.

Do the ready-made salon kits include my logo?

Yes. The prices shown include a logo on the front of every item, as vinyl on the tunics and T-shirts and embroidery on the fleece. If you would like embroidery throughout, a back print or a different mix, tell us what you need and we will quote it.

What sizes do your tunics come in?

Our Ladies Tunic 1 runs from XXS to 5XL. Tunics 2 and 3 are available in UK sizes 6 to 24. Check each tunic's page for the colours on offer.

Do you take small orders for a new salon or a single therapist?

Yes. There is no minimum order, no set-up fee and no charge for digitising your logo. Volume discounts then apply automatically: 5% off from 10 items, 10% off from 25 and 15% off from 50.

Can I reorder matching kit when a new stylist or therapist joins?

Yes. We keep your digitised logo and artwork on file free of charge, so matching kit for a new starter is quick to arrange. Most jobs are ready in 48 hours.
