Workwear For Horse Riders, Yards And Riding Schools: What To Put Your Team In

Softshells, hi-vis, hoodies and embroidery on your own saddle cloths and fleeces: what to wear, what it costs, and how to get your name on it.

⏱ 48-Hour Turnaround 🧵 Logos Done In-House 🚚 + Postage & Packaging

A yard, a riding school or a riding club spends most of the day outdoors, whatever the weather. We've added a new Horse Riding page with the kit that suits it, from softshell gilets to child-size hi-vis, and we can embroider your own saddle cloths and fleeces too.

Here's what we'd put your team in, what it costs, and how to get your name on it.

Softshell Gilets And Jackets

A softshell is the layer most yards reach for: it cuts the wind and sheds a shower without the bulk of a coat. Our softshell range includes men's and women's recycled softshell jackets and bodywarmers, with prices starting at £23.51 for a bodywarmer and £27.77 for a jacket, including a vinyl logo on the front. For colder weeks there is a padded softshell gilet from £37.13, with a colour-trim choice of black or navy with a contrast colour. All of them take a logo cleanly on the chest.

Hi-Vis For The Road

The British Horse Society recommends riders wear hi-vis when riding on the road, so it's worth having a stock of it on the yard. We have a hi-vis softshell gilet from £32.87, a zip-front safety tabard from £10.64, and a reflective-border tabard from £9.79 that comes in a child size as well as adult sizes. That's handy for a riding school, where a whole lesson group can wear matching hi-vis with the school's name on the front. You'll find the range in Hi-Vis.

Hoodies, Polos And Beanies

Underneath, a hoodie is warm for early starts and mucking out, and a polo looks tidy for instructors and show days. A beanie keeps the cold off on winter lessons. A quick note on hats: we don't supply riding hats, so those should come from your saddler.

Your Own Saddle Cloths And Fleeces, Embroidered

If you already have saddle cloths, numnahs or fleeces, we can embroider them. Popular choices are the yard or stable name in the corner of a saddle cloth, a horse's name, a rider's initials, or a club crest on a fleece. Fleece fabric is always embroidered rather than printed.

Saddle cloths and fleece-lined pieces vary a lot in thickness and fabric, so we price these individually. Send us a photo of the item with your logo or wording and we'll quote you. Digitising is free and there is no set-up fee.

Three Ready-Made Yard Kits

If you'd rather not pick item by item, we've put together three kits using the same garments. Prices include a vinyl logo on the front of every item, and you choose colours and sizes when you order.

Yard Team Kit: 3 polos, a men's and a women's softshell bodywarmer and 2 beanies for £98.41 (£88.57 with a trade account).

Riding School Hi-Vis Pack: 8 child-to-adult tabards, 2 zip safety tabards and a hi-vis softshell gilet for the instructor, for £132.45 (£119.20 with a trade account).

Winter Rider Pack: 2 padded softshell gilets, 2 hoodies and 2 beanies for £138.85 (£124.97 with a trade account).

Embroidered Or Printed?

For a logo on the chest of a gilet, polo or hoodie, we usually recommend embroidery for a smart finish that copes well with washing. Vinyl suits a bold name or slogan, and keeps costs down on bigger designs. Our guide to embroidery, vinyl or DTF explains the difference, and our washing and care guide is worth a read for kit that lives on a yard.

Easy To Order, Easy To Reorder

There's no minimum order and no set-up fee, and we digitise your logo for free and keep it on file, so matching kit for a new member or groom is quick to arrange. Most jobs are ready in 48 hours. Volume discounts apply automatically (5% off from 10 items, 10% off from 25 and 15% off from 50), and a free trade account takes a further 10% off if you order regularly.

Questions

What should riders and yard staff wear?

Most yards settle on a simple mix: a softshell gilet or jacket for wind and showers, a hoodie or polo underneath, and hi-vis for riding on the road. We can put your yard name or logo on all of it.

Can you embroider my saddle cloths and fleeces?

Yes. Send us the saddle cloth, numnah or fleece and your logo or wording and we will embroider it. Because thickness and fabric vary so much, we price these individually from a photo of the item. Digitising is free and there is no set-up fee.

Do you supply riding hats?

No. We do not supply riding hats or put stickers on them, so your hat should come from your saddler. For head cover around the yard, we can embroider or print a beanie.

Do you do hi-vis for children?

Yes. Our reflective-border tabard comes in a child size as well as adult sizes, so a whole lesson group can wear matching hi-vis with your riding school's name on the front.

Do you take small orders for a new yard or riding club?

Yes. There is no minimum order, no set-up fee and no charge for digitising your logo. Volume discounts then apply automatically: 5% off from 10 items, 10% off from 25 and 15% off from 50.
