Every working part of this site — the instant online pricing, the trade account, the logo configurator, the digitising videos, and now the bulk ordering grid in the shop — has been built in-house. That wasn't the plan when we started. Here's the actual story of how we got here.
Where We Started
Like most small businesses getting a website made, we paid a web design company to build it for us. It went live, and on the surface it looked fine. But it didn't work the way an actual embroidery and print business needed it to. Simple changes took weeks to come back. Features we genuinely needed for customers — real pricing worked out properly, a working trade account, a way to actually order — either weren't offered or came with another invoice attached. We were paying to be stuck with a brochure, not a shop.
Doing It Differently
Instead of going back to another agency and hoping for a different result, we took it in-house. Jay ran the business side — what customers were actually asking for, what was going wrong, what needed fixing next — and rebuilt the site itself alongside an AI assistant, page by page, feature by feature, rather than working from a spec document handed to someone else. Every part of the site now exists because a real problem came up first: instant online pricing so customers weren't left waiting days for a quote, free in-house digitising because outsourcing it was a false economy, a logo configurator so people could see their branding before committing to it, and — most recently — a proper bulk ordering grid in the shop, built after looking at how our own wholesale supplier does it, so a trade or team order for a dozen staff shirts in four sizes doesn't mean repeating the same one-at-a-time picker over and over.
Built On What We Actually Know
None of it is guesswork. The garment catalogue and colours are checked against our real trade supplier account, not copied off a spec sheet. The photos and videos on this site are our own real jobs, filmed in our own workshop in Ramsgate — including the digitising process itself, start to finish, which most print shops won't show you because they don't do it themselves. The pricing on every page is the same pricing you'll actually be charged, worked out the same way every time. If something on the site is wrong, it gets fixed the same day, because there's no agency in between and no ticket to raise.
Built With Faith, Not Just Code
We'll say this plainly, because it's part of the story too and not one we're leaving out: with the guidance of God, in Jesus' name, we built this website. It's been a genuine partnership — a business owner who knew exactly what his customers needed, technology that could actually build it, and faith that carried the both of us through the parts that didn't work the first time.
Where That Leaves This Site
No agency, no template, no guesswork — a business owner who knew exactly what his customers needed, and the tools to actually build it himself. That's the whole story behind everything you're looking at on this site today, and it's still how every new feature gets built: a real problem first, then we build the fix ourselves.
